Mongolia News.Net Friday 16th May, 2008
China's Sichuan Province has suffered a severe aftershock which has triggered created fresh damage to buildings and severe landslides.
There have been no reports of casualties but raods which were only just re-opened have once again been filled with rubble.
Telecommunications links have also been disturbed, further isolating the area.
The aftershock, which measured just under six on the Richter scale, appeared to have been centred near the town of Lixian, to the west of the epicentre of the main quake on Monday.
There have been more than 120 aftershocks measuring more than four on the Richter scale over the past 72 hours.
Chinese government officials say over 22,000 people are confirmed dead in Sichuan province, with another thousands more buried under rubble.
