DHAKA, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's consumption of sunflower oil is rising in recent years with soaring prices of soybean and palm oils, which are used mostly in the country.

Farmers in parts of Bangladesh including the Brahmanbaria district, some 109 km east of the capital Dhaka, are being encouraged to take up more cultivation of sunflowers, one of the most important seed crops grown usually in temperate countries.
