Kyrgyzstan confirms 200 new COVID-19 cases

BISHKEK, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan on Friday confirmed 200 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 99,845.

According to the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, the total recoveries climbed to 92,953 after 235 more recovered in the last 24 hours, while the death toll from the virus rose by six to 1,687.

Meanwhile, currently, 1,768 people are in hospitals across the country and 2,427 patients are receiving treatment at home.

A total of 3,642 tests were carried out across the country during the day.

Kyrgyzstan started mass vaccination against COVID-19 on March 29. More than 47,000 people have been vaccinated so far.
