BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

BISHKEK -- Kyrgyzstan on Friday confirmed 200 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 99,845.

According to the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, the total recoveries climbed to 92,953 after 235 more recovered in the last 24 hours, while the death toll from the virus rose by six to 1,687.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand reported no new cases of COVID-19 either in the community or in managed isolation facilities on Friday.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases detected at the border is two. The total number of confirmed cases is 2,289, according to the Ministry of Health.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's Ministry of Health (MoH) on Friday reported a daily record of 358 confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total tally to 21,499.

The new infections included 350 local cases and eight imported cases, the MoH said in a statement.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia's COVID-19 tally on Friday rose to 47,548 after registering 515 new locally transmitted cases in the last 24 hours, according to the country's health ministry.

Meanwhile, seven more fatalities and 1,049 more recoveries were reported, bringing the death toll to 212 and the total number of recoveries to 38,330, the ministry said in a statement.

ADDIS ABABA -- Ethiopia registered 593 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 264,960 as of Thursday evening, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

The ministry said 13 new deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 3,951, the ministry said.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally crossed 24 million, reaching 24,046,809, on Friday with 343,144 new cases registered in the past 24 hours, the health ministry said.

The death toll increased to 262,317 with 4,000 more deaths since Thursday morning.
