PanARMENIAN.Net - Hikmet Hajiyev, aide to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department, has once again referenced the so-called "Zangezur corridor," emphasizing the strategic significance of the bridge being built over the Arax River between Aghbend and Kalala.

"Zangezur corridor via the Aghbend-Kalala bridge," Hajiyev wrote, as reported by APA.

He described the bridge as a key hub connecting major international transport routes: the East-West corridor running from Shanghai to London, the North-South corridor linking the Indian Ocean to the North Sea, and the South-West route connecting the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.

Previously, Hajiyev stated: "By connecting with Nakhichevan through the Zangezur corridor, we gain new opportunities to access Turkey and global markets via Turkish ports."
