PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, during a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, said that Baku remains ready to host the next "3+3" regional platform meeting. He insisted that Armenia has no valid reason to reject the proposal.

"We believe the Armenian side has no grounds to decline Azerbaijan's offer, which was made back in 2024. The proposal still stands," Bayramov stated, according to APA.

He reminded reporters that the "3+3" format was originally proposed by the President of Azerbaijan and that three meetings have already been held within this framework. He said that during the October 2024 session, Azerbaijan offered to host the next round under its chairmanship.

"When the '3+3' format was established, it was announced as a presidential initiative of Azerbaijan. Since then, three meetings have taken place. At the October 2024 meeting, Azerbaijan proposed to host the next one, noting that it would be held upon mutual agreement. Unfortunately, such agreement was not reached, and Armenia did not consent. The matter is now being discussed through other channels," Bayramov said.

He said that Azerbaijan is still willing to host the upcoming session.

The '3+3' format includes Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, along with Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Georgia has so far declined to participate, but the other members have repeatedly said the door remains open to Tbilisi. The previous meetings took place in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul.
