KABUL, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan exported industrial machinery used in lime, gypsum and cement factories to Tajikistan from its western Herat province for the first time, the official media Bakhtar news agency reported on Wednesday.
The exports were carried out with the first shipment valued at 350,000 U.S. dollars. According to the report, the total value of the machinery exports is expected to reach 1.2 million dollars.
Meanwhile, 11 containers of steel produced in Herat's industrial zone were also exported to Tajikistan.
