PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani media reports say that on January8, the second consignment of oil products is planned to be shipped from the Gzdek railway station and Baku freight terminal to Armenia.

According to APA, the shipment will include 1,000tonnes of 92octane gasoline, 1,000tonnes of diesel fuel, and 1,800tonnes of 95octane gasoline. The first batch of oil products was dispatched from Azerbaijan to Armenia on December18 within the framework of the agenda for peaceful normalization between the two countries.

It is noted that fuel supplies from Azerbaijan to Armenia are carried out solely on a commercial basis, with gasoline sold at international market prices.

Earlier, when asked about the Azerbaijani fuel imports, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said: "As I understand it, the purchase of gasoline is very beneficial for citizens of the Republic of Armenia. I saw calls for a boycott, but also learned that there are queues for this fuel."

Asked why Azerbaijan is providing cheaper gasoline to Armenia, Mirzoyan replied: "Because peace is established and cooperation must form, and Azerbaijani and Turkish cargo must pass through our territory, just as ours must pass through theirs."

On December19, a train consisting of 22 wagons loaded with gasoline from Azerbaijan's Socar company entered Armenia.
